Data we collect
BrainCompete stores your game scores and personal best records in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you voluntarily submit a score to the global leaderboard.
Leaderboard submissions
When you submit a high score, we store your chosen nickname, selected country, optional message, score and an anonymous player id generated by your browser. Your IP address is used only for short-term abuse prevention and is not stored with your score. We do not collect your real name, email or any other personal information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use BrainCompete: page views, the games people play and rough performance metrics. Google Analytics may set cookies and processes an anonymised IP address; Vercel Analytics is cookie-free. We do not track names, emails or other personal information.
Advertising
BrainCompete does not currently show ads. If we add banner ads through Google AdSense in the future, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and this page will be updated first. You can manage personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
Cookies
BrainCompete itself does not set cookies. Your nickname, country, sound and vibration preferences, personal bests and an anonymous player id are kept in your browser's local storage and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. Third-party analytics may set cookies as described above.
